Summary
Maybe this could be how he gets close to Tsukishima like he’s always dreamt. A way to bridge the gap without destroying their friendship. He’s always orbited around Tsukishima, aware that pushing too much or asking for more was a surefire way to cause an irreparable collision. A mass-extinction event all because Tadashi couldn’t be thankful for what he already had. But this, with a few drinks between them and someone else broaching the topic, acting like a buffer, it could work.
Tadashi reaches blindly and grabs a glass, spilling the dark, bitter burn of Tsukishima’s drink across his tongue. That’s what Tsukishima’s mouth tastes like right now—he knows that, but he wants to taste it for himself.
