1. Pre-Series: Sam and Religion, ft. playground bullies. Salvation is not reached through pain, it is taken.
2. Sam/Ruby: Stargazing and Hell's tiny torments make for an interesting night.
3. Post 11×22 coda: There are consequences to having the devil in your bedroom, bitter and alone, which do not go away with him.

Momo looks up at him, finally opening the wrapper around her yakisoba-pan. She takes a big contemplative bite before she responds. “Yeah, still don’t know what you’re talking about. Granny Seiko’s not cursed?”
“No, the one stuck in the lucky cat. Turbo Granny. Must be super hard for the two of them, being apart like that, huh? What a tragic romance—”
“HUH?”
5 times the kids thought grandma Seiko and Turbo Granny were married + 1 time Seiko sort of wished they were.

absolutely fantastic. excellent use of non-linear story elements, beautiful prose, perfect characterization, and even metaphor laced into the carefully constructed folkloric aspects. paced well, and im so super excited to see what comes in the future <3 this is a strong recommendation.

Okarun closed his eyes and hummed, thinking very hard. “You’re teasing me,” he concluded.
“What? No way,” Momo bit back a grin, shuffling a bit to better face her friend.
His face scrunched, but his eyes were still closed. “You’re so mean, Momo.”
Her heart did a little skip at that. Okarun never called her Momo, except when he transformed. She was just startled, was all. When he said it so casually, dropping the curtain of pretenses and formality, it felt… special. It was like his own way of peering into her soul.
“A-anyways, let me see if I can fix this. I wanna go back to bed as soon as possible,” the psychic brushed it off, willing the heat in her cheeks to dissipate.

cant believe i didn't bookmark this last time, this is so good im eating it art style hompfg munch munch. manages to be tender and sincere without losing out on characterization, which is a particularly tough balance to meet with these two, and it is met beautifully.
