if someone told me they were doing a charles wallace / kairos groundhog day, I'd think, "what a cute gimmick." but this... it's a time loop, and it's charles wallace, and it's perfect. The repetition of "maybe it’s just hoping someone will notice", the way the kids with whom he builds a relationship keep wednesdays, they way he might never make it work with cody, it's all just wonderful.
