Summary
‘His first reaction is to laugh. It’s strained and it hurts. Looks like he tempted fate too many times and it’s all catching up to him now. He feels like a cat that exhausted all nine lives, and it folds into him like something familiar, unwanted, but expected.’
Or: Sonny ends up paralyzed from the waist down, but the burden doesn't stay his alone for long.

Summary
The second Sonny’s back jars against the cold metal of the rail and wall of the elevator, his spine explodes in pain. It runs from the base of his spine, around his hips, where it’s always been the worst, to his skull, where the beginning of a headache is starting to form.
He avoids wincing, just barely, and bites the inside of his cheek to avoid making a noise. It’s something he’s become unfortunately good at over the years.
***
Sonny’s not the biggest fan of being vulnerable around people, so he just tries not to be. Most of the time he succeeds.

Summary
“Shit, Rebecca, breathe,” Roy commands, and it’s then that she realizes her chest is heaving, her vision swimming as she holds tightly onto his hand.
A hand on her shoulder forces her head downwards, towards her knees.
They stay like that for a moment, Beard’s hand comfortingly resting on her back and Roy’s hand squeezing tightly on her own; the only sound in the room is her breathing, which is starting to come deeper and slower as time drones on. When she feels in control of her own body again, she lifts her head.
Roy’s crouched in front of her and Beard moves into her line of vision, his expression pinched, arms crossed along the front of his chest.
“You wanna tell us what the hell is going on here?” Roy asks, worry ebbing out of each word. He smooths his thumb over her knuckles while he looks at her expectantly, waiting for her response.
“It’s Ted.” It comes out in a watery whisper.

Summary
The seeds burst like confetti and the wind snatched them up with greedy fingers, and Jamie wished, deeply, fervently, with a belief he hadn’t had since the day his dad had burst back into his life, that he could have been there for Ted when he’d needed it, just like Ted had been there for him.
. . .A drunk Jamie makes a wish. Because his luck is rubbish, the universe takes it a little too literally and turns Ted into a teenager.

Summary
Beard didn’t believe for a single second, that everything was alright, not anymore. His stomach turned. He recognized how Ted was fishing for every single excuse he could find to avoid asking for whatever it was he needed. Beard knew that admitting that he was at Jane’s, that he was busy, would mean Ted excusing himself and hanging up in an instant. Beard felt he couldn’t quite bear the uncertainties of the whole thing anymore. He sighed, at last.
“What’s going on, Ted?” The way that Ted sounded like he was choking on a sob damn near broke Beard’s heart.
“I need you to come get me, I’m…” Ted spoke quietly, struggling to continue. Beard stood up immediately.
“Where are you?”
“I’m alright, I’m okay. I’m… I’m at the E-... At A&E. They won’t let me go home by myself, so I just… I just need you to come and get me.”

Summary
At first, that’s all there is to it. Beard’s texts go unanswered, but there are plenty of reasons why a grown adult might bug off work and be slightly inconsiderate of concerned friends for one day: bad hangover, family emergency, food poisoning (literal), "food poisoning" (euphemistic)...
But that doesn't stop any of them from worrying.Ted stops showing up to work and responding to texts. Beard and Rebecca get to the bottom of it, and support him through the steps he needs to take to start to heal.

Summary
“Ted,” Beard repeats, voice gentle, his eyes glassy. “I’m so sorry.”
“Oh God,” Rebecca whispers from his left, and his head pivots to look at her; he’s taken aback by the look of abject horror on her face, her hand covering her mouth. Ted’s eyes widen at the sight of tears spilling over, leaving long, wet tracks down her cheeks. There’s a whooshing noise in his ears now and everything feels wrong; his brain is fighting to keep up – he feels like he’s missing something.
He shifts his focus, his vision blurring a little at the movement, the room tilting just a bit, his hands numb around the cover page of The Sun. Everything is hazy at the edges, there are hands tucked underneath his armpits holding him upright and he can't breathe, dammit.
The headline stands out in stark white letters, the title unmistakable:
Shocking Small-Town Suicide: Ted Lasso, Manager of AFC Richmond, reportedly found father dead in childhood home from self-inflicted gunshot wound in 1991.
The ground falls out from beneath his feet.

Summary
Clark looked down at himself, as if just noticing that he was glowing, and smiled sheepishly, "Oh gee, sorry, I was hoping I could sneak in without waking you up,"
Lois took him in fully, which was hard given that the light emanating from his body obscured his face, "I don't think that would've been possible, I sleep too light,"
His smile widened, and Lois could've sworn he got brighter. She shook her head, "Please tell me what happened to you—do you have a Kryptonian head cold or something?"
"Oh, no I'm not sick, just got a little too much sun,"

Five time Lois was reminded Clark is an alien (and one time Clark fell in love with her all over again)
