    “You’re beautiful,” III suddenly says, and II realizes his eyes have been closed for a long moment, and III is staring at him, as if he’s something to eat, something to devour, something to delve into, to take pieces from and put back together. “I’m almost jealous Vee got you first.”

    II bursts into laughter, “He doesn’t mind sharing,” he informs.

    “Oh, good. Neither does Ives.”

    II sputters.

     

    Or,

    III offers II a night of fun... which also seems to somehow be a rescue? (Or maybe it's just a secret plot to get II into the polycule he didn't know was forming right under his nose).
