“Mm. So I’m supposed to offer?”
“Offer words, yes.”
She takes the plastic stirrer in her mouth, savouring the liquid drops while making burning eye contact. Lae’zel knows that she knows she’s transfixed on the movement of her tongue.
“Isn’t there anything else?” she purrs innocently, ice clinking against the glass as she takes to stirring again, “Words only take you so far.”
Lae’zel does not answer, but she purses her lips and it’s more than enough. Hook, line and sinker. She would get something out of this evening. Something she may or may not regret later, but the now is so tantalising she almost starts to salivate.//
Shadowheart, psychology major at BGU, and Lae'zel, a githyanki military academy dropout, have an arrangement.

Summary
Everyone in the party liked Tav. Everyone vied over him, Shadowheart included. But Tav wanted Lae’zel and for the love of Shar she could not understand why. Lae’zel was an abrasive hot headed gith, deserving love from nobody. Especially not Tav’s.
Shadowheart, the greened eye monster that she was, decided to make it her mission to find out why he was so in love with Lae'zel.

"Chk, I have tended to my blades for as long as I have been able to wield them," Lae'zel responded with a frustrated sigh. "This affliction is an old wound, one that stubbornly persists. Your healing would not be of much use in this case."
"Good, I had no intention of wasting my magic on you anyway," she retorted.
A world where you share the pain of your soulmate is already complicated. Even more so when you also have a mindflayer tadpole.
