Summary
Without understanding how, Akaza found himself facing the most unexpected outcome: Kyojuro had survived their battle. But Kyojuro was human, and humans… are fragile. Perhaps Kyojuro would never regain his strength, but even the strongest human needed time to recover, and Akaza decided to bet on that, letting Kyojuro live in the hopes of finally convincing him to become a demon and fight together for eternity.
On the other hand, Kyojuro believed it was his end, but the rabbit hole went even deeper. After waking from months in a coma, his physical condition was no longer the same, and he knew better than anyone that he might never again have the strength to properly fulfill his duty. Arriving at a clearing in the middle of the forest, Giyu Tomioka stopped, his hand was on the katana, ready for battle and use at any moment. He looked at the moon again, then turned to the side where the demon was. The former Pillar was dressed in a blue yukata without his haori that he so often wore. Since it was already night, he was dressed in black khakami and dark blue budogi. These clothes were light and allowed him to move without much difficulty.

Summary
Tanjiro finds himself transported far into the past — long before any of the Hashira or his loved ones became Demon Slayers.
