Summary
Eddie loves the bond that Buck and Christopher have, the little traditions and customs they share, even if he doesn’t always understand them.
But he forgets that there’s the person who taught these things to Buck in the first place, so that he could pass them on to Christopher.
And as he starts paying closer attention, Eddie finds himself immensely grateful to Maddie, and he may just find it changes the way he looks at his best friend.Set mid-season three into an alternately timed, pandemic-less season four.
A 5+1 (but the five is in 2 parts because it got too long).

Summary
“Can we see him?” Eddie asked.
The doctor’s eyes flickered from Eddie to Buck before settling on Eddie,
“You can, but I’m afraid while he’s in the PICU, visitors are limited to immediate family.”Buck opened his mouth to say something, but Eddie was faster, spitting, “That’s bullshit, he’s—”
“Eddie, hey,” Buck said, squeezing Eddie’s wrist. “It’s okay, it’s alright. Just go be with him, okay?”
Eddie looked torn for a moment, mouth twisted in a frown. Buck pushed him gently towards the doctor and Eddie nodded, turning to go. Buck gave him a supportive smile that fell the second Eddie and the doctor were gone, the heavy ER door closing behind them with a loud click. His shoulders slumped and he buried his face in his hands, collapsing in on himself like a puppet with its strings cut.
A 5+1 fic of Chim realizing Buck is Chris's dad and Buck gradually stumbling on the same realization
