So, it’s become a thing now, Harry is just curious (he’s actually obsessed). He found the dress on the brand’s website the very same day after coming back home. It was his guilty pleasure, memorising the detail on every strand, every other minute he knew Louis wasn’t around. He tried to convince himself that he liked it as a gift for someone else, but the thought that someone, even someone close to him wearing it makes him feel a tad bit weird. Louis thinks back to that first day, sitting in that pub with Harry, asking him about heaven. He hadn't thought much of it then, but maybe Harry's word choice had a heavy weight behind it. If Louis would see paradise when he got to heaven, what would Harry see? What is home like for him? It must be something else with the way Harry is always cowering around, fearful of the above.
“Do you think we’re worth it?” Louis asks, glancing over at Harry. “Humans? Worth all the drama?”
“Of course, you’re worth it.” Harry doesn’t pull his gaze away from the window, staring at the rendering of the angel again. It really is in his likeness. “I wouldn’t be here if I thought you weren’t.”
“I’m glad you’re here.” Louis’ tone goes soft, so very sincere. “Glad you were assigned to me.”

My name is Louis. My favorite color is green. I like movies. Do you know sign language?
Harry huffed grumpily. Why are you learning sign language?
“Because, I want to be able to talk to you.” Louis looked small, gripping tightly at the steering wheel.
Why?
You’re my friend. Louis signed shakily, having to try it a few times before getting it right. And well, Harry just snapped.
We’re not friends. I don’t know what makes you think that we’re okay but we’re not. You stopped being my friend once you found out that I went deaf. I don’t know if this is your way of ‘making up for it’ or if you think that hanging out with the deaf guy and learning a bit of sign language is your ‘kind deed’ to the world but I don’t want to be your charity case and I don’t want to be your friend.
