She was taught everything she could ever need for fixing people, damaged, near-dead, hearts-of-gold sorcerers. They didn’t teach her about grief, so she didn’t grieve. They didn’t teach her about love, either—but she figured that one out on her own, without the bickering of Getou and Gojou next to her, without the ache in the divots of her spine when she dreamed about things that apathetic girls shouldn’t dream about. It wasn’t so bad, was it? Doing her job, dreaming on the side, and being what they needed her to be. It worked.
