"Well, that's the last of our logistics. I have just one more thing to say, I'll be taking a few personal days at the end of the month-"
"Wait, what?" Velvette piped up. Her face emerged from behind her phone to stare at Vox. Val couldn't blame her, he was feeling a little stupefied himself.
Vox glared back at her and continued on. "-And, Jessica and Will will be taking over for me in the meantime."
"Fucking what? You, Hell's worst control freak, is going on a little 'holiday'," Velvette raised her fingers in little air quotes, "and leaving his assistants in charge of his company?" she snorted derisively and set her phone down. "I call fucking bullshit."
"She's right, Voxxy. We've been partners for forty years and not once have you ever taken a day off," Val chimed in.
Vox sighed and a hand came to rub at his screen between his eyes.
"At most, I will be gone for five days. I am trusting you to not run this company into the ground during that time," he said, taking turns to stare at each of them.

Summary
There had been a number of changes that had arisen with the agreement Alastor had made to enter into an official relationship with Vox.
The most obvious and notable of which of course was the way Vox's items had now begun to invade his brownstone. There was a large TV set in his living room now, a few Sinatra records sitting in the holder by the bookshelf, and a blue blanket that clashed horribly with the warm wood and bone of Alastor's interior design.
However, worse than Vox's tacky taste in both music and hobbies, was the strange new feeling that Alastor kept experiencing around his partner. What could it be? And why is it plaguing him?

Most of these ideas were developed with the many wonderful people in the discord but the ficlets are my work alone as part of the group brainstorm.

So Blue hits us with:
"I'm thinking of an age gap au where Vox is Alastor's agent and Alastor is like 19 and Vox is in his 40s.
I was thinking maybe modern day au where Vox is a talent scout and agent (most cutthroat in the biz but if you can survive him, you'll be wildly successful). He also should be divorced bc he has that energy. Alastor's been the host of his high school and now uni radio station and occasionally dips into voice acting/singing for friends as needed.
Vox finds his show and says, I need this bastard on my client list now. He tracks Alastor down and tried to convince him to leave uni for a life of showbiz but Alastor is like, after the loans I just incurred? I think not! I *will* be finishing this degree."
And then it all snowballed into a big beautiful sugar daddy AU that we've been writing snippets for.

Summary
"Mon lapin, why are you running, huh? We can talk about this."
Vincent has made a mistake. A big mistake. He's running as fast as he can, still holding onto that tiny hope that maybe maybe he can escape. Maybe, just maybe, Alastor will let him go.
A black tendril curls around his leg and pulls. Vincent panics as he falls— only to have large clawed hands wrap swiftly around his waist, he's pulled back with effortless strength and spun back into Alastor's arms. Vincent is pressed into a broad chest, he can faintly feel vermilion claws graze his hips almost warningly.
"You know all I do is to protect you."
In which, Vox takes the hit for Alastor during his battle with Adam and dies. Consumed by madness and the realization that he did care for Vox, Alastor follows him into death—only to awaken decades earlier, at the exact moment Vox first falls into Hell as a new sinner. Armed with the knowledge of everything that will come to pass, Alastor seizes the chance to take the newly fallen Vox under his wing… and change their future.
OR
Alastor basically atticwifes the TV man.

“... Vox. You can call me Vox.”
Alastor gave an acknowledging hum. “I understand it’s your first time at an establishment like this, is it, Vox?”
“It is, yes.”
“And have you been in a dynamic like this with anyone before?”
“No…” Vincent trailed off, avoiding eye contact once again. He really didn’t like being the inexperienced one. He’d had plenty of sexual encounters, but they had been fairly ordinary with either him taking the lead or no particular person being in charge at all. He knew it should theoretically be easier with him on the submissive end, but it didn’t feel that way when he wasn’t used to it.
Alastor seemed to perceive his nerves increasing at this line of questioning, and his already kind and welcoming voice noticeably softened. “Can you try something for me, darling?”

--The stress of Vincent's life is getting to him, and he turns to a professional dominant to take the edge off. Alastor is exceptional at making him fall apart, in more ways than one.

Summary
Alastor had been grappling with strange, unwelcome feelings toward Vox—feelings that twisted tighter every time the blue demon so much as brushed against him. Alastor tried to dismiss it as irritation, a byproduct of proximity and pride.
But denial had its limits.
The tension had been building too long, humming beneath the surface like a wire stretched too thin. At last, Alastor decided to stop running from it. He was going to do something about it.
