It's not like Zanka has no control over himself, alright?
He had complete control over his instincts and cravings as a full-fledged vampire, and he kept himself and the other vampires on and off his team in line. He was of noble blood, but that didn't mean he was infallible.
There were still temptations he had to handle, and some were harder to ignore than others. However, Rudo Surebrec, the little omega that fell from the heavens, was not one of them.
{Or Rudo gets injured, and Zanka goes feral.}

Summary
Rudo's night terrors can get pretty bad – Enjin himself has had a fair few of his own and seen them at their worst, after all – and he knows how they affect his youngest member even after he's woken up. Rudo can go days without sleeping, and for a fifteen-year-old boy, sleep is vital for healthy growth.
But Rudo tells him that lying down with him helps make it a little better. He feels safer lying next to the older man. The nightmares don't disappear – but he doesn't wake up throughout the night as much as he would in his own bed.
If only Enjin could keep his hands to himself.

The same nightmare where he's forced to see the dismembered bodies of his friends and his love. The same nightmare where he's not able to save them.
Sometimes he even wonders how he manages to sleep at all.
