A few weeks ago, Regulus Black jumped off a bridge. It's not that he really wanted to die, but he didn't really want to live either. He didn't think anyone would care one way or another, if he's honest. Now he's stuck learning how to live.
James Potter was used to seeing Reg every day at the cafe he worked in, until one day he stopped coming in. When he finally sees the guy he's been crushing on come back into the cafe, he knew he had to take his chance at asking him out on a date.

When a vision from the past shows up at their pub, four years have never been enough to forget. Regulus has never wanted to, anyway. James deserves to be remembered and James is still so James — just as lovely, just as cocky, the perfect combination of the two. Regulus is just as screwed.

“The Potter’s house,” Regulus rasped, his voice hoarse and trembling. He shoved a handful of Sickles into Stan’s hand before collapsing onto the nearest seat.
Stan stared for a moment but said nothing. The bus jolted into motion, sending Regulus sprawling against the window. He didn’t care. The world outside blurred into streaks of color, and for the first time in hours, days, fucking weeks he allowed himself to breathe.
The pain throbbed with each beat of his heart, but he ignored it. He pressed his forehead against the cool glass, his gray eyes vacant as he stared at the night rushing past. The Potters. He was going to the Potters.
