Summary
It starts with a forest, an injured ankle, and nobody left to help.
Ruy Ignis, freshly ejected from Exilium, has no way to survive on his own. With no plans or direction, he stumbles through the Neutral Territories until he encounters Lila Vittorio, a Shade deemed far too powerful to be remembered. Their alliance is out of necessity but soon becomes more akin to family, even through the biting cold, vicious animals, and the arrival of Aster - a discombobulated Guster who only has eyes for Lila.
The Neverseen changed things. Once swept away into its depths, the three of them are faced with confrontation as Ruy reckons with his alliances, Aster finds themself drowning in their loyalty, and Lila finds her grip on her sanity is slowly loosening.
