Jefferson flipped the lightswitch on and Hamilton’s head shot up, his eyes were wide and Jefferson was shocked to see tears slipping down his cheeks. His whole face was pale and his hands- no his entire body was shaking. On the couch his laptop lay upside down, and just out of reach lying face down on the floor was his phone.

Finally the door opened. "Can I help you?" The man asked, sounding tired but upbeat, like he'd been working on something for a while and was a satisfying kind of exhausted.
"Mr Hamilton, I'm so sorry to bother you at home, but I don't know where to go and I came here all alone." Maria started, reading off the well rehearsed script in her mind.
Alexander glanced behind her. "Clearly."
She was startled by his bluntness but continued. "My husbands doin' me wrong, beating me, cheating me, mistreating me. Suddenly he's up and gone, I don't have the means to go on." She clasped her hands in front of herself pleadingly and waited for the inevitable.
But it didn't come.Alexander leaned against the doorframe and looked her up and down curiously. Suddenly he spoke, "sounds like you should get divorced. Do you need a lawyer?"

It’s going to rain today.
Logan knows this. His hands are already throbbing when he wakes up. By the time he drags himself out of bed and into the kitchen of the mansion, his knees have started to complain as well. The funny thing is that the adamantium that makes his bones unbreakable also makes the rest of his body really fucking ache.
But the worst of it is his hands. The human bone structure wasn’t meant to accommodate three large claws, much less ones coated in indestructible metal. All over his body, metal is grinding against his ligaments, tendons, and cartilage. Due to his body’s healing factor, Logan’s body is in a constant cycle of injury and healing. Day in, day out.
