Sam looked back down at the sink, now having to grip his hands against the cool marble to keep himself steady. His breaths came out in huffs, goosebumps now trailing down his arms, and damn, did a distraction sound good right now?
Instead of continuing this conversation, which Sam knew was going to turn into a proper argument if he didn’t shut his mouth, he decided to jumpstart said distraction before he said or did something stupid.
Sam had to force himself to walk to bed and sit like normal before his mind became particularly ravenous. But once he got to that place, there’s only so much he could do.Or,

"The music was intoxicating, addicting, therapeutic. The vibration of the speakers was all Joe wanted when he walked out of stage of The Boys in the Boat’s world tour. He was known as the calm and quiet member to their large fanbase but regardless, he couldn’t wipe the smile on his face. It was a fever dream; loud, exhausting, and beautiful. As if the planets had aligned as the 9 of them were in tune.
Joe drank in the noise of thousands of their fans screaming for them, for him. At this point, the blonde’s eyes found Shorty’s beside him, guitars gripped in both of their hands. His fellow guitarist had a glint in his eyes, the glint that he seemed to gain every time they were on stage, no matter the size of the crowd. Hanging with Johnny was just as good as having a one, just without all the messiness. They understood each other, more than anyone in Pony’s life could, even Soda. They could sit in silence and not grow bored or uncomfortable. Yet, they could have lengthy conversations about practically any topic if they wanted to. It was always easy with Johnny, it was always easy when you had a friend as good as him.

"If there was one thing Roger had learned from his engineering class, that was that keeping center with gravity was real important. It was the reason the world didn’t fall off its hinges and while Roger couldn’t explain to you the details of how it actually worked, he sure knew it was important.
When he was ten, Roger broke his leg while learning to ride a bike. His dad has been teaching him and as they screwed off the training wheels, he promised Roger that he wouldn’t let go as the young boy pettled. And as every parent did to their kid who was learning to bike, his dad did in fact let go. Long story short, Roger lost control of the bike, running into a beehive and getting his leg stuck beneath the heavy bicycle in the panic of it all. It was possibly the worst pain of his life, the crack and sudden pain up his leg. Not to mention having to run on it as a swarm of bees chased him down the street.
After that, he never trusted anything with wheels. In fact, if he had the choice, he’d simply walk everywhere, because if there was one thing he could rely on, it was himself."Or,

And Bilbo listened as she told him Frodo was staying with the Brandybucks—his mother’s family—right now. But they didn’t want him. Not forever, at least. They had their own lives, their own kids. They couldn’t deal with another one for long.
'Will you take him?' She had asked.
Bilbo looked to Thorin, who had been holding his hand tightly throughout the entire call. Bilbo squeezed it once. And in that moment, he took his perfectly predictable and pleasingly comfortable life and made a spontaneous decision that changed it forever; tore it to shreds.
