Essek has complicated feelings about the woman who raised him. 'Complicated' meaning, in this context, that he cannot quite pinpoint which feeling is causing this unceremonious breakdown late at night.

Vex is drunk.
Vex - miserable, selfish, greedy, and most importantly very drunk Vex - has never seen anything so hilarious.
Percy (not Percy - anonymous white-haired rich dick) clearly disagrees. Or maybe he's just confused; both expressions look just about the same from where she's standing when he finally deigns to turn his head and glare at her. Through his glasses his eyes are bleary and unfocused, and the bridge has left a red mark on his nose. It matches his rosy cheeks nicely.
Percy or not, this guy is also drunk.
He doesn't think it's as funny as she does. Which obviously makes it even funnier.--

Vex'ahlia has always been great at suppressing her draconic instincts - she's so good at it! No issues with hoarding gold, or territorial behavior, or eating princesses. She's just not sure what her instincts are telling her about Percy.

Summary
The act of knowing a woman brought Taryon Darrington none of the sense of masculine virility or accomplishment that all of the stories promised him. It has left him as frightened and sore as his escapades as a fully-fledged member of Vox Machina. He’s supposed to become a grand and renowned adventurer! He’s supposed to be ladies’ man, the rakish inveigler whose perfect hair and unrivaled competence in battle and in all other matters inspire respect and desire from the lasses across the land.
And he isn’t.
He never will be.
Yesterday, Taryon was mauled by a devil, lost his best friend, experienced intercourse with a woman, and learned he absolutely never wants to do any of those things again.
He's really not certain why his new companions are so adamant he immortalize the worst night of his life.
