Really well-done. This story is about healing after trauma, and learning how to live again, and loving yourself, and how tiny things can build upon each other to make life better. It’s all from Bucky’s POV but I appreciated seeing how it affected Steve, too. As someone who was married for a long time to someone with the sort of CPTSD that you would expect to see in a combat veteran, I can testify to how hard it is to know what to do to be there for the person you love, with the constant fear that something you do will accidentally make things worse for them. It was actually a little healing to see glimpses of that in Steve — to know that it wasn’t just me who sometimes felt completely out of my depth.

The author does a brilliant job at portraying his mind — brilliant, dark, dangerous, precise — and the writing is a perfect match to that mind, with each word obviously carefully chosen.

Suddenly, he is consumed by the need to locate the author, ascertain their wellbeing, and instruct them in the way of Vulcan mating bonds. Luckily for Spock, it doesn't take long to identify the author as Jim Kirk. Unluckily for Spock, Jim is unconscious and surrounded by interested Vulcans who also read the book.

He will say “Yes, Lan Zhan, of course I’ll marry you,” and Lan Zhan’s smile will turn from soft and tiny to soft and small, and he will grab Wei Ying and pull him close for a hug. He always smells nice and clean and soft, like an adult who’s really got his life together and has a routine and a preferred shampoo brand and now also a fiancé. They will kiss and make out and find their way to the bed, and tomorrow they will tell their families and loved ones and everyone will be so happy for them, saying things like “congratulations”, or “it’s about time”, or “so finally you are made a decent man, huh?” (This one they will only say to Wei Ying.)
They can be married by this time next year.

This is funny and sweet. I loved how all the Avengers were all-in with being there for Bucky, that they cared deeply even though none of them had ever met him before. It’s also nice to read a story that doesn’t completely wipe out the trauma that Bucky experienced but that allows him to recover from it in a fairly realistic way.

Very good. The first 11 chapters are from Derek’s POV; the final has multiple POVs. Loved the deep and honest emotions, as well as how that emotionality was part of the sex scenes. Some writers can’t carry the same depth of emotion into their smut, but MargaretKire can, and I loved it. Even though the physical touch begins almost immediately, it ramps up over time in a way that feels like a slow burn (combined with idiots-in-love, of course, because Sterek).

This is sweet and funny and emotional. One of my favorite tropes, too. But what makes this particular story good is the path our two main heroes take to getting closer to their true selves. From the second-to-last paragraph: “Months ago, he couldn’t have imagined this, that he’d have space for his life, his career, his music, his friends, and a boyfriend. But somehow his life had expanded, encompassing and embracing it all, and it was good. It was so, so good.” That’s the fantasy, isn’t it? It’s nice to see life work out that way, even if it is a fictional story. Fiction helps us imagine our own possible futures.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I nearly abandoned it part way through the very first chapter, but kept reading and was hooked shortly after that. Midoriya’s transformation was fascinating. And this has the slowest burn of all slow burns, I swear, but the payoff is so worth it (plus the slow burn is beautifully done and satisfying in its own right).

Draco can think of only one way to outclass his pleat-front-khaki-wearing politician ex, and that’s by making headlines with an obvious upgrade. And who better to upstage the cheating bastard than the Saviour of the World, Harry Potter himself? Sure, Potter is a little rough around the edges in ripped jeans, a rumpled tartan shirt, and a permanent scowl. Draco reckons a haircut and a shave wouldn’t hurt, either. But Potter is also in need of a Healer willing to keep his secrets, and Draco is just the man for the job. It’s a perfectly reasonable exchange. They need only attend a couple parties arm-in-arm, smile nicely for the paparazzi, and tolerate each other long enough to convince everyone they’re smitten. In return, Draco will keep Potter alive and in one piece.
But it isn’t long before Draco realises he might be in over his head, because Potter is ten tonnes of trouble packed into a leather jacket, and seems keen on hurtling himself towards death on the back of a flying motorbike. And that says nothing of Potter’s penchant for fire-breathing beasts and things that bite.
Ah well, at least they’ll have some fun while it lasts. After all, Draco always did like a bit of danger.

He would probably say that he was born with one because everyone seems to have one but, if it's not important to his mission, then he doesn't know.
He does have one though. It appears immediately on his metal arm the first time they attach it to his shoulder.
