Summary
“You – you are an idiot, angel,” Crowley rasped, his lips trembling as he spoke. “I am the farthest from beautiful that any being could ever be."
“You’re wrong,” Aziraphale insisted almost angrily, his eyes glistening with tears of sorrow, sorrow that Crowley thought such things about himself. “Oh, my darling, I wish so dearly that you could see yourself through my eyes, for all you would see then is every single beauty that Creation has to offer.”

Summary
“Oh.” Muriel had frowned again, their voice confused. “Then . . . if they were special, why did he leave them?”
Crowley thought that his expression must have spoken louder than any words ever could have, because Muriel had rushed to change the subject, and they hadn’t mentioned Aziraphale after that.An obligatory ‘Crowley coping terribly and Aziraphale coming to his senses’ fic because I finally watched s2 and I have a lot of Feelings (ft. Crowley being a sort-of parent to Muriel, sort-of friends with Nina and Maggie, and drinking enough alcohol to kill several humans.)

Summary
“Besides,” Aziraphale added, his voice softening considerably, “I’ll take care of you.”
Crowley grimaced, averting his gaze as if in shame. “It’s rotten work.”
“Not to me,” Aziraphale breathed out, his heart twisting in his chest until he could barely find the room to breathe. He moved Crowley towards him to press their foreheads together, holding him close, pressing the gentlest of kisses to the bridge of the demon’s nose. “Not if it’s you.”
Aziraphale returns to London after realizing the corruption in Heaven cannot be fixed, and seeks out Crowley in an attempt at reconciliation.

Summary
He was a demon, he was Fallen, and he was used to it. Used to punishment. He and the other Fallen angels had been the first to ever experience pain; of course they would be experts in it.
But what they did this time was something done only by the cruelest of demons, and it wasn't just torture. It was a violation to the nth degree.
Crowley is punished by Hell, and is left in a state that leaves him, in his own words, broken. Aziraphale tries to pick up the pieces. (Heed the tags; this is a RECOVERY story, and it gets worse before it gets better. But it does get better. Promise.)

Summary
“Mhm,” Crowley mumbled, before closing his eyes, curling back up around Aziraphale, and promptly falling back to sleep, one hand hooked loosely around the angel’s middle, his face pressed into his chest. Aziraphale looked down at him, his heart seizing in his chest, and gently hugged him close.
“You are silly, my sweet boy,” he whispered. “And I . . .”
Love you, he wanted to say. Wanted so badly to say it, to reveal it to the world, if only for a single moment.
After the Armageddon that wasn't, Crowley can't rid himself of the trauma caused by a certain event, and shields himself with defensive anger and a mask of irritation. Aziraphale convinces him that it's okay to rest and recover.

Summary
Aziraphale’s face dawned with a sudden understanding. He knelt to the ground beside Crawley, slowly and purposefully, never breaking his gaze until his eyes flicked to Crawley’s wing. A silent question.
Crawley did not answer for a long moment. He couldn’t breathe, his throat constricting in on itself. Did he trust this angel? Could he trust this angel? Did he really have enough faith in Aziraphale, who he had spent little to no time with since the Garden, to not harm these children?
(Or: Crawley saves children during the Flood in Mesopotamia, and finds himself in an even more jeopardizing situation as he seeks out shelter. Aziraphale struggles with his own internal conflict, but attempts to help all the same.)

Summary
There are a lot of downsides to being a snake, the rather uncomfortable, painful, and distressing process of shedding skin is one of them. Crowley tries to deal with it on his own just as he had been doing for the past six millennia, but unlike the last thousands of years, he is not alone anymore, and Aziraphale isn't going to let Crowley struggle through anything on his own. (This fic does have a sequel!)

Summary
Aziraphale had not expected the monster to be so beautiful.
“Are you here to kill me?” The Gorgon asked in a calm voice, the slight tremor of his clasped hands and the quiet hissing of the snakes coiled against his head and along his neck the only indication of his discomfort. Despite his eyes being covered, he seemed to stare straight through the warrior before him, waiting patiently for an answer with no hint of the violence or malice that Aziraphale had expected.
Aziraphale is a Greek warrior. Crowley is the Gorgon he has been tasked to kill.
It doesn't go how either of them expect.Series

Summary
Or really, he didn't care much about anything, anymore. Not about himself, not about the plants dying in the backseat, and most certainly not about the stupid fucking angel who had broken his heart and hurled the pieces back at him with three words, three words that they both knew should have been something else.
(After Aziraphale leaves, Crowley grieves, and listens to Hozier, and grieves some more.)

Summary
“Hello, demon,” said the angel coolly, tilting his head to one side and grinning broadly in a crude imitation of Aziraphale’s warm, comforting smile – and it took Crowley perhaps half of a second to decide in certainty that this angel was absolutely not Aziraphale.
Two hundred and seventy-three days.
That was how long it had been since Crowley had seen Aziraphale, how long it had been since the angel had left him, how long it had been since he had yanked the angel into that horrible, awful, desperate kiss, a plea disguised as an act of undying love.
And now, on the two hundred and seventy-fourth night, he finally reunited with . . . someone. Someone who looked like Aziraphale, and sounded like Aziraphale, but was – and Crowley knew this with every fiber of his trembling being – not his angel.
Crowley isn’t the only one who needs saving.

Summary
Crowley sighed tiredly, patting the Bentley's dashboard and smoothing a hand over it. She revved her engine at him, the tiniest hum – she sounded almost smug (at least, as smug as a car can be), and Crowley frowned disapprovingly.
“Shaddup,” he mumbled, reddening all the way to the tips of his ears. “Even angels gotta rest, I guess. Don’t wanna piss ‘im off by drivin’ too fast, y’know?”
The Bentley hummed again, as if saying: when have you ever cared about that before, you old sap?
Crowley doggedly ignored her in favor of glancing towards Aziraphale once more, a smile threatening to tug at the corners of his mouth once more at the sight of the sleeping angel. He looked so at peace, so relaxed, and . . . and so trusting. It made the place where his heart should be utterly ache.
Aziraphale falls asleep in the Bentley, and Crowley begrudgingly gives up his favorite pastime of violating traffic laws and breaking the sound barrier with Queen music to allow him to rest.

Summary
“But what if – what if – hrnggg.” Crowley snarled, gnashing his back teeth roughly and blinking hard as his eyes burned with those tears that he absolutely refused to allow to fall. What if he doesn’t love me back? What if he’s disgusted by me? What if he hates me? Crowley shuddered, feeling almost sick.
“I can’t ruin what we have,” he said at last, through gritted teeth, his breath catching. He refused to look at the two human women; he didn’t want to see the disgusting pity in their eyes, the pity that he didn’t deserve and didn’t want. “I can’t.” And, fuck, there was a fucking tear. “I. Can’t. Lose. Him.”
(Before trying to confess to Aziraphale, Crowley told someone else, too. Or rather, two someones. Who knew humans made such good impromptu therapists?)

Summary
“I – Crowley, I –,” Aziraphale floundered with his words, grief and guilt and sick shame burning at his chest. “Crowley, I do not know if I deserve to be called that anymore.”
He risked opening his eyes again when there was nothing but silence and heavy breathing, and he saw that Crowley’s mouth had dropped open, and his eyes were flashing something dangerous.
“You – what? Called angel? You – you don’t – you think you don’t deserve –?”
After the averted Apocalypse, Aziraphale forgets himself and sends a report to Heaven. This does not go over well, and Crowley is there to help Aziraphale process through the grief of being unwanted by his God.

Summary
“My dear, that cannot be comfortable.” Aziraphale lifted his free hand and tapped at the demon’s shoulder lightly, prompting him to tilt his head away from the window. Crowley’s forehead had a red mark where it had been pressing against the glass, and Aziraphale couldn’t hide the smallest of fond smiles at the bewildered, disgruntled look on Crowley’s face.
“Wuh?” Crowley responded intelligently.

Summary
Crawley sighed, making an irritated face that did not reach the soft concern in his eyes. “Why’re you even crying?” He asked, and he sounded as if he were trying to be annoyed, but instead was coming across as vaguely anxious and distressed. “What for?”
“I – oh, you know why!” Aziraphale cried out, biting his lip, staring down at his sandals. He had nearly forgotten to remove them when he had gone Up to Heaven earlier. He had heard the whispers accusing him of going native, of forgetting his angelic status. He wondered if those whispers were right.
Set directly after the Job minisode. Aziraphale is grappling with the weight of his decisions against God's Will, and Crawley very awkwardly attempts to be a semblance of emotional support. Their (friendship? relationship? arrangement?) begins to develop in earnest.

Summary
The black tomcat eyed the Aziraphale from his perch, his long, thin tail flicking with apparent disapproval. His jaws stretched in a wide yawn, and his yellow eyes blinked slowly. With them closed, he could be mistaken for a shadow on the backdrop of a brick wall.
“Who’re you, then?” He asked in a gravelly, hoarse voice that suggested disuse. His words were stated rather rudely, and he did not move, save for the flicking tip of his tail, and the flexing of his hind claws.
Crowley is a long-abandoned, hardened street cat, angry and wary and guarded against anyone intruding on the fragile peace he had carved out for himself.
Aziraphale is an anxious housecat, who's just wondering why his owners had thrown him to the streets. He's certain it must've be some sort of mistake.(Ineffable Husbands AU: they're cats. This is as ridiculous as it is angsty.

Summary
"My dear, I've said it many times, and I'll say it again, I really, really do not see how they are comparable to your stars," Aziraphale murmured, repeating a fond, familiar, well-trodden topic that was really nothing but making conversation. "It's a caricature. Nothing like the beauty and . . . oh, the infinity of the real thing, captured in that silly piece of plastic."
Crowley and Aziraphale have holiday traditions, just like humans do. One of them: a silly competition to see if there's more star or angel decorations, respectively.

Summary
"I worry about you, Crowley," Aziraphale said quietly, breaking the tense silence and drawing Crowley from his thoughts of darkness and pain and lessons. The angel was still wringing his hands together, hard enough that it had to hurt, and staring at his lap, his eyes welled up with tears. "I do. I really do, Crowley. Ever so much."
