Before his bond with his brother broke.Sam is unfortunately along for the ride. The Allspark is a smug semi-sentient artifact that fuck up his life again and again and now it has decided the Sam would do very well on Cybertron... as a Cybertronian... as a sparkling.

When Cybertron's greatest enemy is cast down before him, broken and defeated, Optimus makes a choice only he would dare to make: to show compassion to the one who deserves it least.

To show mercy in a world ruled by fear is to be seen not as noble, but as dangerous. To see something worthy of kindness and dignity in the one he was taught to hate is an unforgivable crime.
