Peter had just been trying to move into his new apartment when he was sucked through a portal and found himself in another dimension.
But he wasn’t just transported with the belongings he was holding. A girl he didn’t recognize had been dragged with him. And it turns out, they know each other much better than Peter had initially thought.
Now they must navigate Gotham and the chaos that comes with dimensional travel.
And much to Peter’s added annoyance, they caught the attention of a certain bat and his bird squad.

Damian Wayne is not the scientist of the family, so it really doesn't make sense that he would be the one to figure out how to travel through time and space to some different set of hero headquarters. It does make sense that they would have quite a few questions for the highly trained child that showed up from a different universe, but Damian isn't going to give up information without collateral. You've seen Peter Parker in Gotham, get ready for Damian Wayne in Avengers Tower. No one is getting out of this without a headache.

That was not his father’s voice.
And yes, father had a habit of collecting children like a squirrel before winter but that voice did not belong in the cave.
Likely because, Damian realized, he was no longer in the Batcave.
The room around him was definitely a lab, and a nice one, but it wasn’t Drake’s. There were far too many windows, not enough coffee cups, and way, way too many robots. There was also a man standing in front of him in a lab coat. How cliche.
Damian pulled himself up to his full height and gave the peasant his best ‘you are beneath me’ scowl. “That’s none of your concern.”

Spider-man does his job, he doesn’t complain. It’s his responsibility to protect the citizens of New York, even when there are thousands of heroes and vigilantes around.
While he catches what he considers to be a ‘villain of the week’, who he will probably never see again, he finds that this villain is more of a thief and not one who steals jewels or money, but rather technology… alien technology.
After a series of events, Peter wakes up in a dark alley still remembering coming home to sleep. His mask is gone, Karen is unresponsive, his phone is fried, and he has no way to get home. What the hell is Gotham?
More importantly, who are all these birds and bats that seem to be on every corner? Peter doesn’t need help, he can handle himself. He is Spider-Man after all, not a damsel in distress.

“Who are you?” Peter asked, his voice hoarse. His hands were shaking, so many thoughts running through his head.
“I am someone you should not have had to meet this soon.” She looked up towards the starry sky, moonlight illuminating her face. “As much as I wish I could, I cannot take you home. I can, however, bring you somewhere that you may find a new path. I can take you to a new world. I can give you a chance at a new fate.” she looked over at him, an unreadable expression on her face. The question in her eyes was clear

OR: peter parker has found himself in Gotham with some help from his guardian angel and no clear way home. The bats are trying to figure out what the hell is up with this freaky kid. Peter is consistently stressed.
EDIT: This fic is currently on an indefinite hiatus while its being rewritten, I started writing this before I had a firm grasp on how to write plots cohesively and it's not a work I'm proud of. Thank you for all the support I've received!

The man’s face swam into focus—strong jawline, tousled black hair, tan skin. The sleek blue and black suit was unmistakable. Nightwing. He should have felt some sense of familiarity. Recognition. But all he felt was the ache. A tremor of something unspoken clawed at his chest.

Peter Parker's luck is the worst. First, he, Dr. Strange, and Mr. Stark get stuck in a literal flying donut. Second, he dies. Which would be fine, except for the fact he remembers being dusted and his healing trying to stop it. That hurt like hell. Then now he is in a completely different (probably different) universe because, while he might not be good at geography, he sure as hell doesn't remember there ever being a 'Gotham' on the world map of things. AND to top it all off, he is seeing hero's that apparently, don't exist here.

Parker luck has Peter in Gotham, and he somehow is seeing dead people (probably dead anyways because he can't really travel dimensions and find out)
