Zuko nervously digs his keys out of his pocket and starts fumbling at the mailboxes. And he is fumbling. It’s like his fingers aren’t working properly, and he can’t get the key into the slot. It’s the most mundane thing, and Sokka can’t remember the last time he felt so scared.“Let me help,” Sokka says, because he can’t say "what’s wrong with you?"
Something’s wrong, something is very wrong, and it’s making Sokka crazy, not being able to pinpoint what it is. It makes him feel like he has to cut the right wires before a bomb goes off, except the bomb is Zuko going back upstairs again.
Zuko pushes his hair behind his ears, nervously, and Sokka follows the gesture until he’s looking at Zuko’s face. Zuko, who is always un-fussed-with and unkempt, is wearing makeup. It’s pasty, slightly darker than the tone of his skin, and it trails across his right temple like the tail of a falling star.
“Your head,” Sokka says.
Zuko looks at him.
“My…?”

After Ozai is arrested (and shot lolol) for badly burning Zuko, Iroh takes in and adopts Zuko and Azula. With Lu Ten's help, Iroh saves enough money to move the family to Ba Sing Se, away from the bad memories of Caldera City. Iroh opens up the Jasmine Dragon and the siblings work there after school. The pair go to Ba Sing Se High, Zuko as a senior and Azula as a sophomore. There, Zuko meets the Gaang and falls for the loveable and excitable Sokka. Azula on the other hand sets her sights on Ty Lee and Mai.
Zuko and Aang are autistic because I said so, and Sokka has adhd. Also, Toph is nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns. -

I didn't like the style that I wrote in so I've decided to rewrite but teh current plots gonna stay the same.
Thump, thump, thump, all she could hear was the synchronised beat of the human heart that engulfed her sensitive ears. As she stands alone in the arena, heart pumping against her rib cage, breath laboured, muscles strong and still. Centre stage right where she was born to be. All the noises around her begin to clash like an orchestra of vocal cords, people banging on the surrounding fence sharing her victory with their bets. Looking up from where her opponent lies, Still alive but weak , the muscles in her face clench, lips strained as she faces the masses with her signature grin. She takes her final bow when tensing her arm she lifts it to solidify her victory as she has done 10s or 100s of times before. Easy and quick.

There isn’t a single person alive capable of easily ridding the pest of intrusive thoughts that chew at the integral wiring of your brain after you’re let down one too many times. No one can accomplish that.
