Summary
D-16 is a strict, rule-abiding bot, where the only exception is when his best friend, Orion pax, gets him into trouble. But tonight, following his friend to a party where he shouldn't be, he learns that perhaps breaking the rules from time to time can lead to emotions and situations he has never experienced before.
F-426 is a bot dedicated to her work, to following her rules, but she finds a way to let her emotions run free, which in the end will guide her to her final destination. Only she doesn't know that yet.

“Query: why does the Terran attempt to protect Megatron?” Soundwave questioned her. “Twitch Malto does not know Megatron. The real Megatron.”
“Because he is Mum’s friend!” Twitch snapped back at the Audiobot. “Because he is my friend! Don’t act like you know him!”
Soundwave was silent for a long moment. He was silent for so long that Twitch began to think he had slipped into some weird stasis but Soundwave responded to her accusation abruptly.
“Soundwave thought he knew Megatron,” he replied and Twitch swore that the Decepticon sounded bitter, hurt even. “Soundwave did not.”

A chance encounter with Soundwave leaves Megatron in a serious condition, his mind shattered and trapped in his past as D16. With Ratchet on Cybertron, his only hope to ever recover is the illusive Knock-Out who disappeared after defecting from the Decepticons years before the war ended. Someone who only Megatron himself could find.
Deep scars begin to be reopened as the consequences of a foolish and rash decision.

D-16 uses the pen name Megatron to revolutionise his ideas before being put to work near the core of the planet and ultimately heading off to Maccadam's, which may or may not change the utmost projectory of his life.Oh yeah, he also meets a cogless Orion Pax who's determined to help D-16/Megatron make a change in their functionalist society. However, one gets a cog before the other and causing a slight turmoil in how they view each other's impact.

Until now. A voice rang out loud and clear, calling for him in the middle of the night. He should ignore it. But he can't. He doesn't know why, but he knows he should follow. He has so many questions, and he's hoping he could get answers if he tries to follow it. Unbeknownst to him, a tiny shadow has recently started to follow him in hopes for a talk, and a new friend?
(Orion can hear the murmuring from the Primes even when he's cogless... But, it's faint. Also, yes, the first chapter is a little inspired by the song "Into the Unknown" from Frozen 2.)

Windblade helps him look after the “hatchlings” as he refers to the small bots, and handling the burden of governing Cybertron. Everything is fine. On the surface. But deep inside Starscream is still struggling with his old patterns and self-sabotaging habits. One betrayal too many, and he loses everything he holds dear.
