' Buck, speak of the devil, dropped down the last few feet. Bracing one foot against the rocky cliff and the other against the bumper, he secured his line and glanced up. The moment his eyes met Hondo’s, he faltered, foot slipping slightly against the rock.
“You okay, kid?”
It was impressive, the speed with which Buck recollected himself. Other than a slight downward quirk to his lips as though he had swallowed something sour, there was nothing on his face to tip off discomfort. An odd reaction, as far as he knew Buck had never met this man before. Eddie couldn’t help but furrow his brow. 'Evan "Buck" Buckley doesn't lie to his loved ones. At least, not any more than he needs to. He's made quite the life for himself at the 118 with people he loves and not a care in the world (at least, as far as anybody can tell) about his past before the 118. His past that he has historically been a bit vague about. When a blast from the past appears on a call, he is realizing that he might not have gotten away so scott-free from his past occupation. Cue Eddie noticing. Now, Buck has to navigate the collision between his past and his present.

Buck’s life is miserable. Why you may ask? Because he filed that stupid lawsuit and listened to stupid Chase Mackey and now his family hates him. Is he back at work? Yes, did the lawsuit work? Sort of. Does he go on calls? Hell no. Bobby told him when he came back that he wouldn’t be allowed to go on calls unless absolutely necessary and to say the very least that hasn’t happened. So for the last two weeks, he’s been staying at the fire station cleaning, doing impossible lists of chores, and all while not getting in the way of his family, if he can even call them that anymore.
Or Buck suffers through another Lawsuit arc, but in the worst way possible...

Next thing Evan Buckley knows he is by passing legal paper work and signing his rights to being an independent teenager and passing Buds at 16 five months away from being 17.
His parents never cared about him, his parents didn't even check to see what they were singing for their child. Buck leaves a letter at the hospital telling Maddie that he needs to take some time to find himself and he loves her after packing his bag in the middle of the night and heading off to the Navy he never expected to find his people.
Steve Mcgarrett knew his team would be nervous about his newest member but seeing a child...the youngest person in history come across a file his heart stopped knowing he needed to get this kid. It just says he's under 18 so he thinks that Evan Buckley is 17 boy his heart breaks seeing this kid with scores that match and beat his.

Now, the opportunity offered to Buck was different from a normal opportunity. It was special. You might be thinking, Oh? Did he get to travel in time? Did he suddenly become a werewolf or vampire like in all of those cheesy teen flicks? Could he suddenly breathe fire or walk on water? Well, you see the opportunity offered to him was nothing like that. It was a lot more…normal. Not a thing that you and I could do in our everyday life. But for Buck. Oh, for Buck this was an opportunity he could not deny. But he really wished he did. Well, you see he sometimes went undercover for S.W.A.T., and he got this opportunity from a man he considered his brother, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. He knew Hondo from back in his days as a Navy SEAL, because they were in the same squad. See usually he did see some grim things that reminded him of his days in the seals when he went undercover. But nothing did quite match the shit he used to see. He could go into detail, but he can’t. Because it’s classified. But today. Today reminded him of some of the shit he used to do in the seals. Nothing he saw did quite compare. The things he heard and did, well that was a different story. Let’s see if you agree.
