"This world isn't perfect," Clive said. Life's too short for perfect plans, a voice whispered in his ear. The memory was tinged with humour, with the confidence of a man always knew how to find another way, and with heartache, too. Clive stood, full of uncertainty, and sheathed his sword. Stories have been told of Leviathan, the Lost Eikon. It was curious how, in a time known as the War of the Eikons, there was one Eikon that was mysteriously absent from the conflict. Some believed that Leviathan abandoned the world, believing that it had grown too poisoned with the sins of man. Others posited that she was dead, her bloodline of Dominants wiped from the face of the earth.
They were both wrong.
Leviathan was not gone. Or dead. Merely... waiting.
Ahma Shiomi is from the archipelago off the southern continent. After years of watching her homeland succumb to war and the Blight, she decided to take fate into her own hands and set sail for Valisthea. If only she knew that with this one decision, she would change the course of history forever. For in her blood sleeps a power that will shake Valisthea to its core.
