Dorne is ruled by Prince Mordyn Martell and with his ruthless and deadly sister, Princess Nysara, as Dorne's champion.For a long time, I have been interested in writing a story set in Daeron's Conquest of Dorne.
And then, despite not finding any fics online to help give me some inspiration, I sought to write one, starting from the beginning of Daeron's reign.Because of the fact that there is little source material as there would be in the storylines of GOT, HOTD or Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it became challenging to write, especially with very few fics online detailing the Conquest, and the rebellion that followed, in great detail.
Which made it all the more fun to plan and write, especially to connect certain storylines together in this. -

Gold and riches were given to the Starks, gifts of steel and prestigious titles, but the greatest prize of all is the most pressing - the hand of a Targaryen princess, to be wed to the heir of Winterfell once they came of age.

Sansa’s eyes haunting him and biting at his flesh like snakes.
He was the one to approach her, after he had spoken to the lords. She had been awaiting patiently for him to send her from Winterfell, marry her off to some lord she didn’t wish to marry so to have Winterfell all for himself; waiting for her time to strike if needed be, but ever mindful of her duty.
If you will it, he had told her, Winterfell will be yours, he had added leaving the handkerchief she, as a child, had gifted him as a parting gift before he had left Winterfell as a boy to go to Bear Island, on the table. He had not awaited for her reply, he had turned and made to leave her solar.
She had approached him, days after that, the handkerchief in hand, she had cornered him in the great hall of Winterfell before he had even broken his fast. What about you?, she had asked, ever sensible, if I will it, and Winterfell’ll be mine, what about you?
