This story is set 5 years after Luffy succeeds his goal and becomes the 2nd Pirate King. It is also set in an alternate universe, so there will be some differences to certain things than the original series. Luffy is now the Pirate King, and has ushered in a new era, and with it, a new challenge: in order to be the next pirate king, one must thoroughly surpass and defeat him and his crew. With the Tenryuubito gone, the Revolutionaries leading new missions, and the Marines reformed, the world has undergone many changes since the Throne War.
Malvolio D. Shocker is a boy born an orphan in Foosha. Unlike Luffy, an older kid he heard so much about growing up, no one seems to know or take notice of him. However, two fateful encounters, one during his childhood and one during his teenage years, set in motion his dream to surpass Luffy and become the Third Pirate King! A festa aconteceu durante uma tarde de outono, com luzes alaranjadas para todos os lados e o calor agradável da estação. Os olhos de Kid levam um tempo para captar o que estavam bem diante dele e quando dá por si acredita que estava ficando maluco ao ter o coração acelerado pelo maior inimigo vestido de vampiro, brilhando lindamente sobre os raios de sol e mexendo constantemente nos fios longos que a peruca tinha.

"Dragon's spawn," Akainu hisses as Luffy caught his arm mid attack as soon as he landed on the admiral's ship, magma hot on his palm, but not burning, just a tingle of warmth easily overcome by Nika's powers - magma burns stronger than fire, but the Sun scorches.
"Rabid mutt," he answered or perhaps Nika did. There was no beginning and end to them not now. Not when the marines decided to attack just before they could reach Laugh Tale, when Akainu had dared set his eyes on his mates even for the briefest of moments.
The fleet admiral wrenched his fist back, reared for another attack, the deck under them scorching and burning as his logia overwhelmed his senses.
"You've been allowed to live for too long. I'll end your miserable lineage here."
"Didn't work that well for you before, did it?" Nika taunted, Luffy's smile a wild, feral thing that he did nothing to conceal, to tame, not now - now, he wanted to make the marine fear.
Akainu was too close to the Sunny. Too close to his mates, to the babies. That was inadmissible. Luffy laughed, loud and sharp, Nika grinning at the back of his mind when he realizes what he had in mind.

Law is desperate to recover what Doflamingo has taken from him and Kid is the only one who can help. The two captains reach an agreement initiating a lengthy pursuit to retrieve what he has lost, only that Law's end of the deal involves the use of his body.
He must bargain with a formidable, merciless organization called GIFT, dealing in stolen goods and specializing in blackmail. Law must only answer their carefully structured questions concisely, with a simple yes or no at best. He must feign detachment to all things, deny his relations, and cloud his emotions or else, he very well may lose more than his life.
Law is as cunning and as vengeful as they come, but is it really worth the risk?
