Summary
Steven knew their god would not let them go without punishment. Knew they would not attain freedom unharmed by anything further, unpunished for their insubordination, not when they had so purposefully defied a deity who kept them under his thumb for a portion of their life.
The god of the moon, their former patron, the god to whom they owed credit for their life, had made Steven creature who could only exist beneath the light of the moon, whom sunlight burned.
A creature with a craving for blood, whom He assumed would enact the most painful punishment on them all. She was infected with a hunger, a thirst, a need for what she would wither away in the absence of, and she felt the way every day brought hunger stronger.
Khonshu assumed Steven would be unable to controle her thirst. He assumed Steven would drink from them, and that she would kill them.
Wrote this in a day, hope it’s good!!

“And I don’t trust Egyptian-God enhanced individuals who brutally assassinate their targets, but here we are.” That actually spurred a reaction from the Knight, causing him to flinch. I shouldn't have crossed that line.
“I only kill the lowest of the low.” His voice was sharp.
“Yes, vengeance, I know. Listen, Moony, if I finally remember everything and it turns out I hurt this Spider-Man? If I did something to him that he didn’t deserve? Then you’re free to have my head. But for now, I need you to at least be cooperative. We’re doing this my way, at least as long as we can.”

Stephen gets fed up of having gaps in his memories, so he reluctantly recruits Moon Knight to help him figure out what exactly had happened to him and Spider-Man. Little do they know they're in for more than they bargained for-especially when Spider-Man doesn't want to be found and neither of them trust the other.
