Summary
Have you ever wondered what all the conversations were that led to the Duvos Invasion during the Builder’s time at Sandrock?
Enter Ruby, Sandrock’s most capable builder. She’s a hard loving, fire spitting woman who does whatever she can to protect the town she loves and the people in it. All the while capturing the attention of the local bandit, Logan.
And anytime their paths cross, flames ignite, and a bond forges.
Torn between the town she loves and a man that lingers behind his mask… Ruby must decide whose side she’s on, all while dealing with a past that still haunts her to this day.
Notes: This was originally a one-shot that turned into a multi-chapter fic. It starts with an AU of The Kidnapping quest. It follows the main game but takes a lot of twists and turns!

Summary
Sandrock has always been a town full of secrets just bursting at the seams to get out into the world. First it was the remnants of the past buried deep beneath the town that drove the frenzied relic rush of yesteryear… but nowadays? It’s the dark Duvosian plot unfolding right under their noses to, among other things, keep them down and out- forever. Maybe a newly minted Builder from Highwind is exactly what Sandrock needs to shed a new light on the whole thing... if only they would've had the guts to show up!
Enter Ink. A scrappy ex-spy and (incidental) traitor to her country, Duvos, who's got nothing to lose and everything to gain by taking on the abandoned role of Builder that this dilapidated town so desperately needs... After all, Ink and Sandrock are both shells of their former glory, hanging on by tenuous threads. Maybe those threads will snap under the weight of betrayal and fear, or maybe Ink can find it in herself to fully step into the Light and bring hope to an otherwise hopeless place that changes the tides of fate- hers, and Sandrock's both.

Summary
Staying true to our whirlwind, slow burn romance, we continue following you and Logan's evolving love story; however, a misunderstanding caused by the visit from Commander Avery leads the two of you in a new direction, one that challenges you both as you begin to grapple with the less dire reality of living your normal lives. Exploring the immense pressures of being the person at the center of it all, we deep dive into the Builder's responsibility and sense of duty to those around her. Your friendship with Logan is quickly blossoming into something more, though now that he's back and is making amends for his time away, you find yourselves being pulled down different paths. Struggling with the distance that you protectively foster for the sake of each other, we ask this question of our lovelorn duo: will things ever be the same? ⊹ As a small preview into the work, we kick things off at the climax of the Duvos conflict and end with Cornered Beasts (hint hint!). Please see the notes section for the referenced game missions. I will preface that this is a much longer timeline than the previous two installments; nevertheless, retaining the theme of the series, this one is still heavily guided by main and side missions!

Summary
Instead of two builders, there were three.
With summer in full force, two new builders stumble off the train from Highwind, taking their first steps into the dying desert town of Sandrock.
Bonded in more ways than one, and sharing a single braincell that, to everyone's detriment, tends to get misplaced more often than it should, Kai and Allie unleash absolute chaos upon their new home.
Are they just another storm in the never-ending barrage of amber claws wreaking havoc on Sandrock, or, ironically, a breath of fresh air that will bring new life to this dying town?

Summary
Spoilers for the entire main plot as well as all of Logan's romance content.
Nearly two years after the Duvos invasion of Sandrock, Max and Logan are married and happily living out their quiet, peaceful life together. Quiet and peaceful by their standards, that is. Until one day, a mysterious woman shows up at the couple's door, begging for Logan's help slaying an incredibly dangerous monster near the Peripheries. Logan insists Max stay behind to keep a watchful eye on Sandrock, leaving Max with nothing to do other than wait for his triumphant return. But Max can't shake this feeling that despite all of the hardship he'd been through so far, the worst was still on its way.
Being a great builder means being prepared for anything, but nothing could have prepared him for what's to come.

Summary
Adeline Thorne came to the desert for a fresh start—a quiet life spent teaching literacy, writing poetry, and keeping the past behind her. She had no interest in heroics, no patience for pointless bravado, and certainly no time for self-proclaimed protectors with too much muscle and not enough sense.
But fate has a way of unraveling careful plans.
The town she now calls home is on the verge of collapse, beset by rising tensions, bandit attacks, and the ever-present threat of war. And Pen—the insufferable, arrogant, maddeningly compelling man who has made it his mission to guard the town—holds secrets far darker than anyone suspects.
When his betrayal is laid bare, Adeline is forced to confront the truth. But even as she fights to rebuild in the wake of invasion, a single undeniable fact remains—he left something behind.
*this is not necessarily canon-compliant, but it is a fun ride. Tagged as Pen/Builder to find easier.

Summary
Sandrock will fall.
Lucy never meant to become a symbol of resistance—or a captive prize. Trapped between loyalty to her people and the possessive obsession of a man she once called an enemy, she’s forced to survive a war that’s as much about the heart as it is about power.
Pen never planned to fall in love. Cold, disciplined, and bred for conquest, he only let one person in—Lucy. But when she defies him, it awakens something feral. If he can't have her freely, he’ll have her on his terms.
As their world burns, so does the twisted thread between them—pulling them together, tearing them apart. Their love isn’t tender. It’s a battlefield. And neither of them will come out unscathed.

Summary
Major General Seraphina of the Duvos military is extremely unhappy. The Sandrock mission has gone completely off the rails and she has been assigned to clean house: exterminating the entire Duvos site team and retrieving the relics they'd been sent to recover. Embedding into the town as the newest builder, Lucy, Seraphina begins her mission, meeting and falling for the local bandit in the process.
This is a dark story. Read and heed the tags, I am warning you now. This is an AU where Duvos is not what the Alliance claims. There will be multiple major character deaths, no one (I mean it) is safe. These are not nice or happy people. Lucy WILL make the hard decisions.
This story will have two endings. One ending will be completely dead dove, the other will be closer to a HEA, they will release at the same time.

Summary
Willa had long accepted who she was. Her family loved her and so did her one brave friend. However, she also understood by how others outside her small circle treated her that she wasn’t to everyone’s taste. Especially the radically devote members of the Church of the Light faith. Even at Atara University, all her fellow builder classmates had let her know by their treatment of her that she’d be outcasted at any workshops she attempted to apply to. So, despite Willa’s peerless grades and awards for her many accomplishments thus far, her options were limited. Either be an independent workshop somewhere crazy, like The Peripheries, where a one woman large assemblies workshop like herself would be put to work in a harsh and thankless environment, or she could see if the folks in Sandrock, where guns weren’t prohibited and the Church of the Light branch there seemed looser in their standings, had thicker skin for a woman most folks described in the most unkind ways as a storybook dragon in need of slaying.
Never did she think her choice would change her life so vastly and so quickly.
Never did she think she’d have so many people who’d cherish her.
Never did she think love wasn’t truly out of her reach.

Summary
This is going to be a novelization of the game with 2 builders based on mine and my IRL husband's characters. Mostly because I have no life and you guys inspired me to hop back into writing fanfics after nearly 20 years. I will try to stay faithful to the material for the most part, with a few of my head canons sprinkled in. Comments and constructive criticism is very much welcome, as I'm using this as a jumping point to get back into my publishable novel. I hope you enjoy. I will post any major triggers that I can, other than game typical violence, in the notes before the chapter in BOLD letters. The worst of it is in Chapter 9, and can largely be skipped.

Inspired by how often I’ve restarted the game and the entertaining thought that my player characters are just really confused about all the time travel. (WARNING: Major spoilers starting in the first chapter.)
Kat's the newest builder in Sandrock... but she's pretty sure she's been here before. There's no way she could dream up the future, so how did she get here? And what should she do now? People always told her it was a bad idea to fight Fate but she couldn't just stand by and let it all happen again... right?
