Which could be nothing but a good sign, she's sure.aka: after The Incident, Pearl transplants herself to a small town full of friendly, if not particularly weird, people who struggle with fire safety on a good day and general safety on a bad one. And as she settles in, she realises that their propensity for danger might not be entirely their fault - Eremity is a strange place, with stranger things afoot.

One day, when preventing a tragedy, Impulse lands in the hospital, and his mother, Cleo, comes to visit. This brings back memories he'd forgotten about, the kidnappings that happened in his neighborhood as a kid.
Then he has the biggest Revival he's ever had, and is sent back to when he was only ten years old. Stuck in the past he must use his knowledge of the future to make things right

A bolt of what looks like black lightning slams into the dirt, scorching the area where they had just been standing.
Not the warmest of greetings, but not surprising either.
Gem bares her teeth, raising her wings and looking up towards the house. Pearl is perched on the railing, her sword leveled at a shadowy figure standing in front of the door. The whole world seems to freeze as the shadow’s head tilts. It lifts its hand slowly, pointing a finger at Pearl, and then draws it diagonally across its body. A rip appears and splits across his body. Dark, voidic tentacles erupt from the rip, grab hold of Pearl and yank her in. The rip closes behind her.
“Pearl!” Gem screams.
Or, the man of the forest did not want to be found.

Gem steps forward slowly, looking around. She clutches the prop paint bucket in her arms, giving a furtive smile to Pearl, who's creeping next to her. The two of them, and Impulse, are sneakily approaching the King Ren statue, preparing to vandalize it.
She ignores the cameras and film lights with practiced ease, ensuring that her face falls back in anxious excitement.
"Okay," Impulse whispers, directing his words at the boom mic just out of frame, "are you two ready?"
"Yep!"
"Let's do this." Pearl grins wildly, and the three of them approach the statue.
