NO previous knowledge of the fandom is needed
After nearly half a year of writer’s block, this suddenly came into my head and I wrote it all in one sitting. It’s meant to be an epilogue but I cannot bring myself to write the actual story (who knows, maybe I’ll write the whole story later), and I think what happened can be deduced from the dialogue anyway and be read as a one-shot, so here it is. Enjoy.

They sat in silence for a while, Tommy and Wilbur, neither saying a word. Finally, after what felt like an eternity but was actually just a few minutes, Tommy spoke.
“Dream wasn’t a bad person. Not really.” He said, his voice quiet, but he knew Wilbur had heard. Wilbur always hears.
“Tommy, he—“
Tommy interrupted him. “He wasn’t a good person. But I don’t think Dream was a bad person either. He was just a kid himself when our parents died, y’know? He had a lot on his plate too. I think Dream tried his best, Wilbur. His best may not have been enough, but it had been his best.”

I do apologize for sending you this at this time of day, but time is of essence and I’m afraid the matter is too complicated to be explained via a Patronus. This letter has been charmed to permanently turn blank should anyone intercept it midway, and just in case, I’d like you to thoroughly dispose of this after you read it.
Last night, Arabella informed me via floo that Harry Potter’s current residence has been compromised. Apparently, there was an explosion. The police have determined that it was caused by a gas leak, however whether or not that was actually what had transpired remains to be seen. The boy’s uncle, who was in the house at the time, has been declared dead. Petunia and Harry Potter are still alive, but both are in critical condition.
Snape felt his blood run cold.
