He resists the urge to squeeze his eyes shut, but all he gets for his efforts is a neatly raised eyebrow. Not that the skepticism in Helmeppo’s expression is entirely unwarranted – all anyone around them has talked about in the past week has been A War With Whitebeard – but it still makes him squirm. Summary
He's unused to it. For most of his life he never had enough of anything, and felt like he had nothing to give in return. Since meeting Petra, everything seems a little easier and brighter.
She's been fairly obvious about enjoying keeping him well-fed, and it shows in her actions every day when she slides her hands around his waist and his ass, squeezing and jiggling whatever extra padding she can find on him. It's evident in the way she continues to cook rich meals, always serving him more than she does herself.
She takes good care of him. She gives him plenty of all she has, and he's never felt the need to ask for more around her. She offers before he can. It's an unspoken devotion of service that he'd very much like to reciprocate a thousand times over.
