Summary
Dr. Blaze, like all good supervillains, has a nemesis. One that he hates, of course. The Canary is always meddling in his plans to be evil after all! Supervillains don't like their nemeses. Except, for some reason, no one believes him that he despies the guy! Sure the Canary takes him seriously when no one else does and laughs at his jokes and has these bright brown eyes that light up when he figures out how to escape Tango's traps and... and Tango might, just maybe, like the Canary more than he thought.
Well, now he has a new problem: confessing those feelings.

Scar was in a middle of a fight, sliding back on the rooftop as he heard his com bis with a new caller number “It’s Gri. One sec cub.” he answered it with cubs voice going out ‘SCAR YOUR IN THE MIDDLE OF—“ The call going to his earpiece cutting him out. “Hey birdie—“ Scar said ignoring cubs distress as he grabbed his bow again shooting an arrow straight through the guy in front of him. “—How are you?” Scar said with a grin immediately getting in a better mood getting to hear his husbands voice.

Martyn didn’t want to imagine it.
The thought that he might, in any small way, see Ren in some fashion similar to the people who’d left those scars made his stomach churn. He was grappling with it on the daily, and it had only been a little over a week since that night at the inn where he'd helped the dog hybrid wash his hair. Seen him unwind just barely, release so much of the tension he seemed to carry, and yet again, the witch thought there had to be something that he was missing here.
Ren was...gorgeous. He must have suffered so much before because of that simple fact. Martyn couldn't claim he understood it, yet he wished to fix it, but what sort of a hypocrite was he? After all, he was seeing Ren, and seeing Ren in such ways, knowing there was a contract floating somewhere in his inventory that meant he could do anything he wanted...it was all just too much to bear.
And Martyn couldn't relate...he'd never have wished too. Stars above or earth below had decided he would be made to see things from Ren's perspective, anyway.{In which Ren closes his eyes, Martyn sees the other side of the coin, and the forest hides dangers just within the shadow of the trees.}

Summary
Perhaps their arrival should’ve meant more.
Somehow been distinctive, somehow been intense. Underlined by some grand celebration, some sort of hurrah that would herald the end of a journey.
And yet, it was none of those things.
Instead, on that final climb up the mountain, Martyn found his mind assaulted by so many conflicting things that the gates passing over his head, the voices calling in awe of a witch in the town…it all fell to the background.
White noise compared to the figure next to him.
{In which Martyn seeks, Ren settles, and Scott and Jimmy know when to let themselves out.}
