/ˈfrəktəˌfī/Putting on a face of superior arrogance that had always served him well in the past, Alastor folded his arms over his chest and looked down his nose at Lucifer, “Well then! I suppose I’d like to see what the King of Hell has to offer, though I don’t promise to be impressed.”
When Lucifer laughed this time, it sounded somewhat less warm and merry than it had before, a note of dark promise caressing his chesty tenor, “Oh, Bambi. You’ll be lucky to remember your name by the time we’re through.”

Summary
Charlie has never exactly been great with social cues.
Not that she doesn’t understand them! Because she does. Most of the time. But she’s gotten a lot better at reading them after opening Hazbin Hotel. She’s learning little things about her staff in the process, too. Like how Husk’s pupils dilate whenever Angel says his name or how Cherri sometimes stares in the direction of Sir Pentious’ portrait without a single word.
Like how Alastor always shies away from touch but has lately been allowing light brushes of arms and very brief hugs.
Even now, he’s spinning her dad around by the shoulders to point out a decoration on the lobby wall, letting his hand linger on her dad’s arm and…and…
Wait. What?!
Since when has Alastor and her dad ever gotten along?
