“Life as a fairy tale,” he mused, plucking a crystal rose from its stem. He twirled it around his fingers, a rueful chuckle on his lips. “I only wish, then maybe things would be better.”
Roman let it fall, watching as it crashed down unceremoniously. After all, it would be remiss if crystal was as light as petals. He couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.

In the aftermath of the wedding, Roman, not wanting to face the others, finds himself in the imagination more often than not. But when a wish gone awry lands him stuck in a tower, it's up to the other sides to venture into his realm and face its dangers to find him.

Summary
Who doesn’t like a good fairytale where the hero’s lover is cursed and they have to break it with true love’s kiss? Apparently Janus, who recently broke up with Roman after a messy lie. And Remus, who has a crush on Logan but feels like he can’t admit it. And Virgil, who lied and told Patton he was fine just being friends.
So of course when a witch escapes from Roman’s imagination and kidnaps Roman, Logan, and Patton, puts them under a curse, and expects Janus, Remus, and Virgil to break it, no one is amused.
Why can’t this be romantic like the books? And who gave that witch the right to meddle anyway? It’s not like they weren’t bound to get together eventually, but she could have at least asked first.

Nothing for Remus had been simple since the split. And now, Remus watched as Roman's gaze remained fixed in the mirror. Remus himself was trying to reconcile the image shimmering across the surface like it was rippling in silvery water. The person staring back at Roman had a crown of teeth and branches. Teeth gnashed like he wanted to see what it would take to make them crack, and branches reaching barren, broken and bent unnaturally for any warmth or light they could find. The person in the mirror looked wrecked.

In a lot of stories, dragons are mean. They kidnap princesses, they hoard gold, they kill knights, they destroy towns. They are evil and scary and not at all what you'd like to run into on a dark night, on your own, far away from help. Witches are very much the same. Dragon witches, then, must be the worst.
But maybe there can be nice dragons, too.
