Summary

Summary
Vegas and Kim, two of the most feared teachers the college offered. Vegas in charge of quantum physics and Kim in musical theory. Both had clear distinct styles of teaching but both shared something in common. By the end of the term, most students had dropped out and those left almost always had cried in front of the teachers.
The two were brutal, ruling their classroom with iron fists. All those who stayed within the class would always pass with honors and go on to do incredible things. That was the only reason these two teachers were kept on the payroll.
Two students, seated next to each other, looked at Vegas and Kim with unabashed glee in their eyes. One, dressed in an oversized sweater and pants whined again, a sound that shaped his mouth into an O. The other cackled, grinning widely without trying to hide the fact. He was dressed almost as comfortable, with sweatpants and doubled as a skirt and a white shirt that swept across exposed collarbones.

The disbelief was clear in his voice but still, the one seated slowly nodded his head, not trusting his voice to speak. He wondered if he said anything out loud would it actually be believed, or would they just make him sit in the corner until his story changed into something creditable?
“You don’t look hurt son, it's just a small cut. Head wounds you know, they bleed heavily even if the cut is tiny.”
He looked up to the officer, saying nothing still as he noted how the name badge was blurring under the harsh LED lights. How he was shaking his head and casting an annoyed look to his companion who was lounging against a desk a few meters away.
“I was,”
The way his voice came out, in the end, made him wince. The way it shook, his throat thick with tears that clogged his airways and made it hard to breathe for a moment. He sniffed hard and tasted blood in the back of his mouth that tainted his tongue and made him want to vomit.
“Do you want to do a rape kit then?”

Summary
Chay is a Stargazer — an astronaut who works alone to protect Earth from dangers in space. When Saturn’s rings start disappearing without a trace, he’s sent to find out why.
What he finds is unbelievable: a train moving along the rings, and inside it, a being floating in a glowing tube of turquoise liquid. This being is Kimhan, the last of the Eirenai — an ancient race that once protected the planets. They were called Solariths, and their power kept Saturn’s rings shining.
But Kim is dying — and as he weakens, Saturn begins to die too. Without a life partner to share his power with, he can’t keep the planet stable. He’s cautious, guarded, and speaks a language Chay doesn’t understand.
Chay was only supposed to investigate and report back. But instead, he makes a choice that changes everything: he decides to stay.
