Summary
The lonely but misanthropic Samara Lavellan begins a long and trying journey at her Keeper's behest, only to witness the destruction of the Conclave and, slowly, begin her journey as the Herald of Andraste and Inquisitor.
Along the way, she finds herself inexorably drawn to a certain spirit-- perhaps to the point of obsession --and learns to manage the pain of her past. Said past is rife with troubles; including traumatic memory loss, mild disfigurement, murder, and lost love. Samara's path will be a dark and lonely one: unless she can overcome the burdens of her past and let the pain go...
But something dark lurks in the shadows of Samara's mind, begging to be set free. Will she be overcome by the monsters from the Breach, or the ones in her own head?
Editing to disclaim: This is a long story that includes Colemance, rather than a Colemance solely for its own sake (though I may make one later).

She lives in an abandoned building with other elves; alienages no longer exist, but the old prejudices still abound. It's here she meets Cole: a fallen angel with nowhere to go. Together, they'll learn to help each other.

Below them, the river stretches wide and black, the city glowing like a starry sky of molten gold. The wind sweeps at their clothes and hair—casual, but constant—reminding them that yes, the world is still moving even when time feels like it isn’t. Silence, as the laws of convection dictates, sinks, introducing a chill to the early summer, and the two of them sit in its presence like they’re enjoying the moment, the beauty of it, admiring the overpass like tourists would.
It’s only when Viktor speaks, subdued and his accent peeking through, throat rumbling with something akin to afterthought, that reality whispers that they aren’t quite tourists: “My parents used to come here.”
Jayce cocks his head to the side. “To talk?”
“To fuck.”
