Summary
”You’d call everything off right now, just for this?”
Just for this, he says. As though it’s trivial. As though it isn’t everything that Vox has dreamt of every night for the past several decades. As though the rejection doesn’t sting just as sharply every time he wakes up and reaches to the other side of a cold bed, hands searching for a lover that will never be there, and hears callous laughter echoing in the back of his skull.
Vox sucks in a shaky breath, closing his eyes. He tilts his face downward, unable to look at Alastor when he admits it. He almost can’t bring himself to, sure that Alastor is already certain of the answer.
”Yes,” he whispers.
”You can’t be serious,” Alastor says quietly.

In which many things come to light, all earth-shattering.

Summary
That’s it, then. You sort of never thought this moment would come, but it did. Vaugarde is saved. The King is defeated. Your journey is over.
Right. Mirabelle will stay here, or maybe go off on a pilgrimage all on her own. Isabeau will go back to Jouvente to pursue his dream. Bonnie back to their sister. And Odile to Ka Bue.
And you…well, you’ll return to traveling, of course. Just like before. That’s fine. It’s what you’ve always done. It won’t be any different than it was before. You’re just glad that this story had a happy ending.
A moment of hesitation and a faint memory leads Siffrin to make a different wish at the Favor Tree. The party of saviors find their final quest goes much more smoothly than they might have anticipated.
This is not a good thing.

Rogue Planet by Hazelnuthelper
excellent fic detailing how Siffrin’s mental health in canon isn’t just created and/or exacerbated by the loops; the problems were already there.

Summary
You only needed to pretend to be human when you thought you had a family. But now you don’t. Now there’s nothing left to pretend for.
The four people you died for over and over again wish you were never born.
You don’t need to do anything ever again.

(Or: Siffrin never makes it to the king in act 5. They loop again, and again, and again, until they realize they don't need to go into the House at all.)

Summary
After an accident at Chapman's, Funn Funerals find themselves down an undertaker with mere days left of their temporary monopoly. Eric is, somehow, having a worse week than they are.
Chapman gains an uninvited houseguest; Antigone relives several experiences she'd rather not; Rudyard discovers he doesn't need a body to be a nuisance. A haunting has come to Piffling Vale, and no one wants to be there—least of all the ghost.

hand-to-god: might be the best Wooden Overcoats fic out there. an incredibly strong contender at the very least. this fic does Rudyard and Antigone, in particular, so much justice.
