Summary
Dean Winchester was twenty-six years old when a car accident killed his father and left him paralysed from the waist down. A year and a half later, Dean is in a wheelchair and lives in a care home in Kansas, where he spends his days waiting to die. Summary
Claire and Jack are orphaned after their parents’ deaths. Traumatized and alone, they’re placed with a foster family—a foster father, to be more exact.
Castiel has dreamed of having children, and when the opportunity comes for him to foster a brother and sister, he takes it. Now, however, he’s in over his head.
Cue their social worker, Dean. The man relates to the children after his own parents died, and he and his brother went into the foster system. He knows both sides of the coin when it comes to fostering and adopting, and is determined to help them all.
Over time, feelings develop between the two men. Can they come together despite the turmoil in Castiel's and the children’s lives, or are they better off as friends?
