“So um, yeah, that’s… that’s the gist.” Steve finished, wringing his hands out as he paced, finding it impossible to stand still while he spilled everything from the past 3 years. Ted had yet to say anything in response, which in hindsight could also be part of the reason Steve felt like he was going to throw up.
“And you’re saying Munson is stuck in my light?” Ted asked, looking back up at Steve, “I- um… I think so?” “and is there a way you can communicate with him? Is that why you came?” Steve nodded, realizing he’d stopped pacing out of sheer shock that the conversation was going in the direction it was. Ted dropped his hand from his neck, inhaled deeply, and then nodded to himself before standing up, moving to walk back inside, “Well, can you come talk to him then? He keeps messing with my Mom’s lamp.” And with that, Ted walked inside and left the door open for Steve -

Winter Break of 1986
The Ski lodge was far enough that the drive felt long, but not so far that it would make you lose your mind. It was Steve and Robin who actually told them about the resort in the first place. They were planning on coming up for the winter, and had mentioned it to Nancy when the three of them were out for lunch, so Nancy suggested it to the rest of them that night at dinner. Dad booked a stay, and they left that weekend.
In short, it was going to be interesting, but there would be people she knew there, which tracked. You never really leave Hawkins. -
