Summary
John stared at the eyeless muse, waiting for her to crack a joke or at least a smile. Something to let the poor kid know that this wasn't what was actually waiting for him--for all of them--so close to the end of the game. No such solace came, and a dull memory began to flicker in the back of the teenager's head, one that burned hot for just a moment before fading quietly into a migraine waiting to happen. A memory of himself and his ectobiological sister. And a movie he hadn't realized was as AWFUL as it was.
"So, is being a shitty writer a requirement for cherubs, or is it a family trait?"
The Heir of Breath is recruited by Alternate Calliope to help ensure Homestuck^2 never happens. The clearest way to make it work is to force the game to run a patch before its completion, but it will require a lot of work on John's end, and the results are something no one but Alt Calliope and her increasingly fed up editor could have expected. John has never felt closer to the Makaras, and as time goes on, the feelings start to be reciprocated.

Summary
Winter at Lockwood Farm should have been a season of rest, with only a few animals and the limited crops in their new greenhouse to care for. Time to decide what improvements they should spend their late-Fall windfall on, time to experiment with recipes for artisan products, time to determine what to plant in the coming year…

Summary
Garion and Ce’Nedra have an argument over some of Garion’s unthinking jokes, and Ce’Nedra suggests something as she storms off. Garion decides it isn’t actually the worst idea in the world, especially given he’s one of the only people in the world who could genuinely do it.
This is technically a sequel to my other Belgariad piece, A Simple Erastide, but that’s not that important aside from background explanation of a couple quirks. It’s currently set to Mature but I’ve not yet decided whether or not to include explicit content but if I do I’ll up the rating. Summary
The Belgariad is my favorite fantasy series. As I've grown up with it, though, I've realized it's getting harder to relate to something so imbued with the problematic attitudes of its time. So, I decided to retell the story in a way that I can more easily share with my loved ones so they can see why I love it so deeply.
This is my retelling of the story I love with a little more of the things I like (relationship dynamics, found family, self-identity) and a little less of the things I don't (sexism, racial and ethnic stereotypes, xenophobia, patriarchy). Splash in a little gender-bending and some LGBTQ themes, and this beloved 40-year-old series is ready for the 21st century!
