Still harbouring the sting of teenage love and rejection, as well as the pressure of her unsatisfying career and resentment towards her mother, Lena's life is brought to a halt in her hometown as she's forced to confront years of repressed feelings and the truth about what she really wants out of life while waiting for her mother to die.

Heather Chandler, on the other hand, always wanted everything.
Including, of course, her surprisingly pretty dork of a classmate. Veronica quickly realized that after a chance encounter turned her into one of the queen bee’s favorite playthings.
