Bruises followed where his joints chafed, every ligament having been thoroughly soaked through with a lonely man's desire.I believed him a madman, for a moment, that he would seek me as a servant to his desires.
I felt a thick rage course through my veins. I was nettled with a desire darker than his; to see him suffer the same way I had; yet it proved that he already had.
I wanted him to bleed from the same sting, the same buzzing wasp that fed upon my blood and spat it out.
“Cosa fatta, capo ha.”
What is done, cannot be undone. He seemed to understand, well enough as a sick man could, and coughed a heap of blood onto his waistcoat.

Cosseted all his life; he had scant dealt with such precious desires. I decided then, to indulge his curiosity. That this wasn't something he wanted.

Mike managed a jerky nod. “Yeah, fine. You’re just…” He broke off to clear his throat and finally lifted his hands to place them on the small of Will’s back. His skin was smooth and warm. Mike’s thumb moved with the dip in his spine, tracing along the curve. “You know.” Hot and on top of me.
Will smiled, pleased at that. “I do know,” he said loftily, and Mike got the sense he really did, and frequently used it against him to get his way. “But I like it when you tell me.”
Mike wakes ten years in the future, a successful novelist and in a committed relationship with Will.
