No worthwhile pack member or parent would ever allow a child so young to be alone during such a vulnerable time. All at once, Dick realizes he can’t leave him behind. Clutching at his own stomach in a sad attempt at an embrace, crying so hard he seems close to vomiting, Dick can’t just drop him off at a facility.

    As much as he’d like to think a professional Heat Center would be ideal for a kid like this, there’s a reason he himself has never gone to one. Even during his worst fights with Bruce over the years, he’s always felt safer locked in his bedroom than in some facility. With how out of it the kid is, it would be far too easy for someone to take the opportunity to traffic such a rare find. He can’t risk it, not without proper research and vetting to ensure the place is secure and credible. There’s no time, this pup is in heat now. He needs someone now and Dick is the only one here.
