"You knocked over my cart and ruined all the cabbages I had left. I need to sell those to make a living. I consider myself a kind man, though, so I won't ask for much. Just a little bit of coin will suffice."
The man smiled and held out his hand, palm up. He looked at the open hand in front of him and frowned.
"I don't have any." He said to the man, shaking his head. He was genuinely sad that he didn't have anything to offer in return, and he hoped the regret at least showed on his face. "I'm sorry."
"You don't have any- how do you expect to pay for this? For what you did?"
"What I did?"
"The damages!" The man's hand was no longer in front of him, instead gesticulating wildly as if that helped demonstrate his point. "To my cart! And my ruined cabbages! How are you going to pay for that?"
"I don't know!" The man was practically yelling, so he yelled back. "I said I was sorry! What do you want me to do about it?"
"Well, I don't know!" The man snapped back at him, standing back up. "But I suggest you come up with something, because I'm not leaving until you do."
Zuko gets amnesia, meets the Cabbage Man, and ends up in his debt.

Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh.
Now traveling under false names, bound by a fake marriage, and with no room for mistakes, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. What begins as mutual distrust slowly turns into eating side by side, sleeping even closer, and something far more dangerous: comfort. She thinks it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees, and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding the others. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for her friends to find her.
But in their cramped apartment, days turn into weeks, and Zuko and Katara begin to settle into something that almost feels like domestic bliss. It isn’t real. Or at least, it isn’t meant to be. But the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.
