Whoever said that beating Vecna’s going to fix Hawkins’ problems, Will’s problems, Mike’s problems—they deserve an earful. They deserve to feel this weird, hollow dissatisfaction chewing away at their chests.

Robby’s hand rustles him.
“I was just getting some air. I’ll get ready for a patient. Where’s King?” Robby’s not convinced, furrowing his brow, but it's the truth, and maybe that registers, so he lets Langdon go, who lets out a breath of relief.
Before he can go, Perlah runs past him, pushing the wheels of a stretcher that sends a metallic screech spiraling out into the air. Then, Santos snarks something at Whitaker, who smiles sheepishly in return, as they power walk past. Langdon, interrupted. For a second, he can’t bear it – this feeling of being outside of it all. It’s been happening ever since he came back, and he finds it more and more difficult to fall in pace with the beat of things again.
“Langdon,” Robby’s voice again. “Are you ok, Frank?”
