Ted’s little brother was born halfway through his senior year of high school. They’d lived under the same roof for about four months, and then Ted had moved out for college and never came back (at least for longer than a semester break).
And, well, he had sort of just assumed everything stayed the same after he moved out. That their parents had kept up all of Ted’s childhood traditions; done it all over again with his shiny new replacement.
He’s starting to realize, probably fifteen years too late, that isn’t the case, and it’s not a… comforting thought.
The idea that Ted had gotten their parents at their best.(Alternatively titled: Ted realizes Pete has youngest-sibling-trauma and does almost nothing about it… Merry A-Full-Two-Months-After-Christmas!)

Strange and terrible things have always happened in Hatchetfield. But some are more gruesome than others, not easily brushed off the way that most of the town’s oddities are. Especially hard to ignore was the work of a serial killer in the town. People would be kidnapped and forced to play games, with the person running the show leaving videotapes of instructions spoken by a goat toy that calls itself Tinky. Not playing the game, not following the rules, or not managing to get out will end up getting you killed— and even surviving is bound to come at a horrible cost. But after Minna Bauer, the first person to ever survive a trap, managed to just barely get out, the kidnappings stopped.
At least, they did until now.

However, the Lukas family wishes to be crystal clear that our continued investment is contingent upon the Institute taking its responsibilities with regards to privacy and confidentiality seriously.
The Magnus Institute hires a Data Protection Officer. He sets about diligently booking in meetings, writing policy documents, and training all the staff in the importance of confidentiality. Now if only he could get hold of the Head Archivist, who seems to have vanished again...
(Jon is only trying to save the world, but apparently some people think he should still be doing his day job.)
