The farmer is dead.
After just one single, measly year in Pelican Town, the farmer is dead. A freak accident, changing the course of every life in town, but none more than those of her three best friends.
Because for some stupid reason, she left the farm to those three best friends, rather than leaving it to the bank or letting Lewis make the call. And, for some stupider reason, Abigail, Sebastian, and Sam agreed to it. Nevermind that they're all swimming in oceans of grief and trauma which feel bottomless. Nevermind that Sam and Sebastian are the biggest will they won't they that Pelican Town has ever seen. Nevermind that out of the three of them, exactly none of them know the first thing about running a farm.
But, after all, it's just gardening. How hard could it be?
