Summary
Dean's self-doubts usually raised their heads after something good had happened. It wasn’t a surprise that Dean was rather suspicious of good things happening without them coming with a proviso. Condition free wins, whether big or small, had been few and far between in their lives and he’d not forgotten that most often, what should have been a good thing (like the guy you’ve been yearning over for a decade, declaring their undying love to you), invariably soon turns to shit - like them being sucked into an unending dimension of darkness. Or whatever.
This wasn’t the first time Castiel been subjected to Dean’s swinging moods and lack of self-worth. He knew it wouldn’t be the last.

Summary
Health care wasn’t exactly high on his agenda – he’d expected to be dead long before getting old was a problem, but after he had caught Cas squinting his newly human eyes at his phone, he had agreed to tag along for Castiel’s first visit to the eye doctor. Dean wasn’t getting any younger either, as Sam had so helpfully pointed out, so here they were, probably both about to be saddled with glasses.
“And what’s your name sweetie?” The kindly woman, probably in her 60s enquired of Castiel.
“My name is Castiel.” He replied politely, giving her a slightly pained grin.
“Ok hunny, and what’s your last name?”
Castiel paused. “Um, I’m, well it’s um, I don’t really, um. It’s- “

Summary
Moving a nearly 6-foot blind drunk ex-angel wasn’t a job that Dean had anticipated when he’d started this evening. But here he was, half manhandling and half coercing Castiel to move one foot in front of the next, as he almost dragged him along the hallway to his best friends’ quarters.
“Can I tell you a secret?”
“Sure Cas.”
“You can’t tell Dean.” Cas whispered conspiratorially.
“Erm Cas, buddy. I hate to tell you…”

Summary
“Eddie!” Nash yells repeatedly. “Eddie! Eddie!”
Eddie feels himself turning bright red.
“Wow,” he says after his name is repeated a good half a dozen more times in a row. “You weren’t kidding, huh?”
“He’s been like this all day,” Maddie says with a grin on her face. She shifts Nash in her arms, pointing over at Eddie as she says, “Look who it is, sweetie. It’s Eddie!”
Nash frowns, looking confused. “Eddie?”
Maddie nods. “Yeah, that’s Eddie!”
“Eddie!” Nash yells, reaching for Buck. “Eddie!”

(When baby Nash's first word is “Eddie”, questions are raised as to how this could possibly have happened.)
