Summary
The first cage he finds has a sign on it.
It’s made out of old driftwood and it reads: “Deadly! Do not open!”
Stan reads it a few times. The words have been written with red paint which has smeared across the sign in a few places. The writing is hasty and barely legible, as if it was done in a moment of great hurry or panic. The red paint and the occasional splatters make it look like blood and the numbness in Stan’s brain recedes long enough for him to snort a derogatory laugh and roll his eyes.
His brother can be so dramatic.
**********
After the portal incident, Stan frees all of Ford's specimen. He thinks that's the end of it.
He couldn't have been more wrong.

Summary
Shermie definitely didn’t sniffle because he was crying. He only sniffled a little because it was cold and he was wet from the walk in the rain, not because he was sad and scared and alone. Shermie didn’t cry. He steadied his voice to hide the shake in it and said “Um, Ma’s ok. She gave me your number.”
“Oh.” The voice paused. “What’s- uh, what’s up?”
“Um.” Shermie gulped. “I need- some help.”
“What is it?”
“Pa.” He took a deep breath. “Pa kicked me out.”
The voice didn’t speak for a minute. When it did again, it shouted “What the fuck?”

Also, he's a cat.

Summary
It seemed to Stanley that the worse he felt, the righter things became in his life.
Ford started talking to him again, and in return the universe took away his ability to move freely.
He gained two new friends, and in return the universe put him through a round of pain.
He learned to love his life, and in return the universe sent him a demon who hates him and looks like his brother.Stanley is starting to regret his decisions, but he doesn't want to give up, even with this weirdo who stole his brother's body telling him to do it.
He looked out the window, watching the first snowflakes of the season gather on the window. There was something strangely comforting about the cold, but he knew that the same thing that comforted him is what robbed his brother's peace. Winter didn't hold good memories for either of them. But he is certain that he will change this, making Ford believe that bad memories are just a bumpy road to happiness.

Summary
Stan can’t help the happy noises that escape from his chest as he chows down. The food tastes like heaven. Wet and meaty and filling. Nothing like he’s had before but still better than anything he’s tried to scrounge out of dumpsters.
Tate giggles and lightly trails his hand over Stan’s vibrating side. “Mama, what’s he doin’?”
“It’s something they do when they’re happy,” Mom explains, gently guiding Tate’s palm to Stan’s side to feel it better. It’s uncomfortable but the food flavor exploding on his tongue keeps the rumbles going. “It’s called purring.”
Which is something Stan can do now, since, oh yeah, he’s a cat.

Summary
“What do my six fingers have to do with the scars on your hands?” Ford asks, and then kicks himself for interrupting.
Stan shoots him a sideways grin. It's a tired thing, meant to prop the mood up, but Ford is still confused, so it doesn't land. “Well Six, I don't have six fingers, so I had to make an excuse to why Stanford didn't have his anymore.”

Summary
With Weirdmageddon solidly averted and the world back right side up – at least, as much as the world can be right side up – Stan and Ford Pines set off on a marvelous journey to chart the mysteries of their world. Now, if those mysteries could stop reminding the twins of their own unresolved trauma, that would be wonderful, thank you very much.
